why blogs are better than scrapbooks

Sure, scrapbooks are pretty. I love cutting and pasting, I love sparkles, I adore glues of all types and textures, I have a major font fetish, stickers are super - especially if they're scratch and smell ones, and it's great to be able to show people what you've been up to. But. I was reading a Scrapbooking magazine yesteday ("preparing" and "working hard" to get ready for the yearbook class I'll be teaching so very soon) and I have got a major complaint. Here it is: everything is too darn positive. No swear words in glossy block letters. No insults. No stories about drunken nights out and horrible regrets and vomiting afterwards. Nope, just looooove all around. I think I'm going to start up my own scrapbook supplies company. Our first series will be called "The Little Shits" and will feature adorable poop-shaped cartoon kids. Some of our speciality papers will include: The Really Important Letter You Ate; The Bill For The Lawyers When We Had To Bail You Out; and Your Report Card When You Got Fs In Three Classes And Your Teacher Said You Were Capable Of Achieving Far Better Results With A Better Attitude. Our next series will be focused on the underestimated divorce market!
